SRIPOKU.COM, PAGARALAM - Sumber Daya Alam (SDA) Kota Pagaralam yaitu Panas Bumi akan segera Dieksploitasi. Sumber panas bumi yang berada di Talang Kubangan, Kelurahan Kance Diwe, Kecamatan Dempo Selatan.

Walikota Pagaralam, Hj Ida Fitriati mengatakan, potensi panas bumi tersebut rencananya akan segara diekspolitasi. Luas wiayah yang akan diekspoitasi sekitar 10 kilometer masuk wilayah kota Pagaralam tepatnya masuk daerah Kecamatan Dempo Selatan.

Memang potensi tersebut sudah mulai diekspoitasi oleh perusahaan asing yang dibuka dari daerah atau kabupaten tetangga Kabupaten Lahat dan Muaraenim, karena ada sebagian yang masuk wilayah Pagaralam jadi Pagaralam kejipratan rezeki bagi hasil panas bumi dari pemerintah pusat.

Terpisah ahli panas bumi Ir Jonlidarto A Karim saat ditemui di kediamannya di Dusun Jangkar, Kelurahan Jangkar Mas, Kecamatan Dempo Utara, mengatakan Potensi panas bumi di Talang Kubangan sudah terbukti ada.

Menurut Jonlidarto, potensi panas bumi di Talang Kubangan menarik minat sebuah perusahaan besar untuk menggarapnya. Bahkan perusahaan tersebut sudah mengantongi izin untuk melakukan eksploitasi beberapa tahun lalu.

"Izinnya sudah keluar pada 2010 lalu. Namanya proyek Rantau Dedap dengan luas lebih dari 35 ribu hektar. Wilayah kerja proyek itu mencakup Tunggul Bute wilayah Kabupaten Muara Enim dan Talang Kubangan masuk wilayah Pagaralam," katanya.
